Hawaii-based wildlife photographer Jack Jeffrey will give a presentation at the monthly meeting of Hawaii Photo Shooters at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the University of Hawaii at Hilo in UCB Room 115.
The public is invited to attend meetings of the digital photography club for beginners and mentors.
Jeffrey’s talk is titled “East Africa: A Kenya Photo Safari.” Hear the word “Africa,” a place that’s on almost every photographer’s bucket list, and you think of lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, and maybe rhinoceros. Africa is a place of wonder, a place of mystery, and a place of amazing photographic opportunity.
Over the last three years, Jeffrey has been on safari in Kenya several times, and has photographed extensively within this amazingly diverse African country.
“Please join us for a photographic adventure, as Jack shows you the wonders of Kenya’s habitats, animals, birds and people,” said Hawaii Photo Shooters spokeswoman Susan Miyasaka.
